AN INTRODUCTION
Her mother’s daughter, she follows a connection to the stars, a line of ancient tradition of which she’s not fully aware. She is a celestial wonder, a heart that glows with starlight and joins others together.When she ran away from the life of an heiress and joined the Fairy Tail guild for a life of adventure, she got far more than she bargained for. Friends and a sense of family, of belonging. People who would fight for her and fight alongside her, those she would do her best for. No matter the challenges, they would make it through, that much she was certain of. They were Fairy Tail and they would never falter.But then they did.And her starlight heart dimmed, alone in the darkness.For months, she struggled, a shadow in her heart and soul. It was too much for her, losing one of her oldest friends and then her found family. Being alone, rejected and stuck in a feeling of failure, it was too much.And then her stars came to her. They reminded her she was not alone and that she owed it to herself and them to live. She began to pull herself out of the darkness, she found a new path.A path that would eventually reconnect her to Fairy Tail, or rather, have her reconnect Fairy Tail. Together again like old times, but as things shifted back into place but she couldn’t help but worry if she should continue to stay. For if their bonds could be broken once, perhaps it would happen again just as easily.The war came and tested that. Chaos and pain. Great struggle and loss. But together with their allies, the war was won.As peace settled with the dust, so too did her heart. Living in fear of pain and rejection is not truly living, after all.There are still more adventures to be had, and she has one in mind; the exploration of her own family history. Hair: Long and blonde, her hair is well cared for and is soft and silky. She washes and conditions with vanilla and strawberry scented products and takes care to brush the length thoroughly at the start and end of each day.Face: Beautiful, somewhat delicate features and skin that is smooth, and clear but for the light splatter of freckles across her nose. She doesn’t often use makeup aside from a lip gloss/balm and/or mascara.Eyes: A shade of warm chocolate with hints of gold, her eyes are framed by long, dark lashes and easily convey her feelings.
Clothes: Growing up, she was forced to wear highly constricting and conservative dresses. Once she ran away and was free to make her own choices, she began to find herself comfortable in shorter skirts and short sleeve or strappy tops. Currently, she still favours somewhat short clothes and loves to accessorise, finding clothes as a fun way to express herself (her mood definitely affects her choices too). She is almost always wearing heeled shoes that give her an extra couple of inches in height.Body: Somewhat short, what height she does have comes mostly from her legs rather than torso. She is toned and fit and has sizable curves to her chest and hips. Her body has gone through many attacks and injuries, and while most injuries were healed completely, some have left faint or not so faint scars.

Kind: A caring and compassionate sort, easily able to empathise with others and want to help or comfort them. She would struggle to stand by if someone nearby needed help and she always puts others before herself.Optimistic: Though recent events have tested her faith, she is generally the type to wish for the best and aim for it. She strives to see the best in people and in situations, and to make the best of what she can.Wise and understanding: She is well-read and intuitive, giving her a good gift for advice. She is able to see multiple points of view and her compassion helps her to sympathise and forgive.
Emotional: Often ruled by her feelings, she is easily swept up in sentiment but the same can be said for sadness or anger. Her emotions tend to change quite swiftly, like the twists and turns of a river. She has had to learn how to manage her emotions and is quite good at it, but she still feels everything deeply (which is all part of being an empath).Protective and loyal: She is someone who would do anything for the sake of those she cares about. She will never give up on them or give them up, she would rather sacrifice herself than them.Distrusting: Even while hoping for the best and seeming open to others, she has a wariness in the back of her mind that comes from the pain of recent events. It conflicts at times with her intuitions about people, making her doubt things she wouldn’t have previously

Empathy: Lucy comes from a long line of Celestial Spirit mages, people who had special gifts and were further enhanced upon receiving Celestial Magic. The Heartfilias were always sensitive to emotions, with a skill of sensing and understanding them. Some from this line are able to sense someone’s emotional aura, and some can absorb the emotional pain of others. Lucy is not fully aware of her potential as an empath but has on a few occasions unknowingly used these abilities. With further study and training, she could become quite skilled. As it is now, she has great intuition about what others are feeling and is able to easily understand others. When someone is particularly distressed or inwardly all torn up, she can sometimes feel an echo of it, and having contact with that person can cause her a degree of discomfort.Celestial Spirit Magic: Lucy practices Celestial Spirit Magic, a type of Spatial Magic which allows her to summon Celestial Spirits, magical beings residing in the Celestial Spirit World, using the Keys of their respective Gates. When summoning a Spirit, the Keys are enveloped with a soft, golden light. Once a contract has been made with a Spirit, such Spirit will be available for Lucy to summon on certain days, in which it will fight on her side and perform several tasks for her. Her Celestial Spirits have varying levels of power or abilities, with different ones being more suited for certain tasks than others, not necessarily related to battle.Currently she has 9 of the 12 golden Zodiac keys (Taurus, Leo, Aries, Capricorn, Sagittarius, Gemini, Scorpio, Virgo, Cancer) and a handful of silver keys (Crux, Horologium, Lyra, Nikora, and Pyxis)Force Gate Closure: Lucy is able to force the gate of a Celestial Spirit to close against their will, prompting them to return to the Celestial Spirit World. She demonstrated this ability when Taurus was taken over by Sherry Blendy through her Magic and was forced to attack Lucy. For a Celestial Spirit Mage, obtaining this ability seems to be a remarkable feat.Multiple Summons: Lucy has gained the advanced ability to summon more than one Celestial Spirit at once. After gaining access to her Second Origin, Lucy gains a greater control over this ability, as seen during her fight with Flare when she was able to keep two Celestial Spirits’ gates open nearly effortlessly. This provides her greater flexibility as she is able to combine the aspects of her Spirits’ powers and abilities to form new and more powerful attacks. During her fight against Tartaros, Lucy managed to open three gates simultaneously.Urano Metria: A powerful spell, known as the “Ultimate Magic of the Stars”.Star Dress: A Celestial Spirit Magic spell in which Lucy incorporates the power of a Celestial Spirit into her body by placing the key of the Spirit in question on her chest. The power manifests itself in the form of a wardrobe change (similar to Requip), in this case in the form of a dress centered around the Spirit in question’s own wardrobe.Enhanced Durability: Despite her fragile appearance and her tendency to avoid combat, Lucy has proven herself to be quite resilient.Enhanced Endurance: Lucy has been shown to have great physical stamina.Keen Intellect: Lucy has proven herself to be a very intelligent, logical and intuitive Mage. She was able to figure out that Bora had slipped a sleeping drug in her wine without tasting it. Being an avid reader, she has also shown to be adept at solving words-related puzzles and riddles: she was able to see through the spell which Zekua Melon cast onto his Daybreak book and work out the book’s true content. In addition, during the S-Class Trial, she figured out the location of Mavis Vermillion’s grave with relative ease through the use of the “clues” hidden in the Trial’s setup, being apparently the only member of Fairy Tail to achieve this. Lucy also uses her intellect as an advantage to help herself and friends in winning battles by tricking her opponents. By the year X792, through notes and observation, Lucy can tell that Scarmiglione hid their true strength, and she predicted the outcome of their battle with ease.Magic Sensor: Lucy has shown to be able to sense Magic to a certain extent. This was first seen when she was battling against the Nine Demon Gates in Alegria, being able to sense all her comrades Magic despite being ensnared by the monster. After the one year time skip, during the Grand Magic Games, she was able to sense that the members of Scarmiglione were easily more powerful than their opponents, despite their efforts in hiding their strength, and could quickly tell that the intruder was much more stronger and dangerous before he even displayed his power.Expert Whip Specialist: Despite not being often shown due to her tendency to avoid battle, she is efficient in using a whip, being skilled enough to grab opponents through its use, and to employ it as an effective weapon at short-to-mid range.

Trivia: small headcanons that didn't require their own full headcanon postAs a quick overview of everything that is important to this muse, I've put together a Portrayal Notes post.MISC NOTES:- Any of the unnecessary nudity seen throughout the manga – instances where Lucy’s clothes are totally destroyed, removed etc, especially when combined with her being forced into proximity with Natsu, are not included as canon. This includes the ‘quick, warm Natsu with your naked body, Lucy!’ scene in ch512. Any groping scenes (whether by Natsu or Cana or anyone else) are likewise excluded because – 1) its just not necessary, its demeaning to Lucy, 2) per plotting/portrayals of those muses (via chaoticor and hearternal), it’s not something they would do.- The running gag of Lucy trying to use her ‘sex appeal’ is not a thing here – while she knows she’s quite pretty (objectively) and she loves to look good, she is not that confident in herself in that way and would instead either use her wits or play the damsel-in-distress (acting helpless and innocent, big puppy eyes).- Lucy does not like to be called ‘princess’ and has asked that Virgo and her other spirits not call her that. She also never refers to herself as being the ‘owner’ of the spirits.- The Heartfilia line is an ancient one, Lucy is trying to research it and Celestial Spirit magic in general. Certain bloodlines/families were associated to particular Spirits and have inherent abilities related to them – the Heartfilia family is connected to Cancer and has empathic abilities. Lucy is not fully aware of being an empath or her potential with it.- She does not have romantic/sexual feelings for Natsu. Her sexual and romantic preference is very much towards women (but its not something she’s thought too much about yet). When it comes to guys, she is demisexual/demiromantic.- X793: for me, the ‘final chapter’ doesn’t happen in the year X793. It’s not that I don’t want Lucy to get her writers award (because i do want that for her), but it’s just not realistic to me that everything is all fine and dandy after probably less than a year after the (incredibly devastating) war. Lucy will publish her book and get her award at least a few years after the war (maybe by X796 idk)

Verse.01: Post war
Though she silently struggled for a while to feel settled in Fairy Tail once again after it reformed, the lessons from the war have helped her accept things. She continues as a member of the guild, going on adventures and trying to live her life to the fullest.
During the year that Fairy Tail had been apart, she had begun to learn more about Celestial Magic and her family. It’s something she is starting to pursue more now, in between going on jobs and working on her writingInteractions for this verse can be found here.

Sometime post-war, Lucy and Juvia begin to dial back their mage work and attend University. They live together and have a pet maine coon named Moon Moon. And she has long been a source of light in her family, her smiles full of optimism and promises of hope, and she will never let that falter. Even if at times it’s hard to maintain.She tries her best. Tries to forget what she’s been through. Tries not to feel displaced again. Tries to find the strength that seems to come so easily to her friends and family.Sometimes it’s easy. With the training she’s been doing, the growing power and skill, it’s easy to feel a sense of safety and confidence, a hint of pride and hope that she is reaching one of her goals. APPEARANCE
Hair: White, with silvery highlights, her hair is soft and silky. As it grows, she tends to keep it tied in low pigtails, with bangs to frame her face. She’s always had shorter hair, liking to keep it that way, but now she views longer hair as being a sign of maturity and she’s working towards it.Face: Pretty and seeming to always be giving a smile, she lights up a room. With a love of the outdoors, she has earned a splatter of freckles across her cheekbones. After maintaining her Tiger takeover form for too long within the past year, she has developed a permanent effect of having slightly pointed canines.Eyes: A sparkling blue, lighter than her sisters. Her eyes are quick to notice any movement and take note and she has superior vision to most (aside from dragon slayers) due to her magic.
Clothes: She enjoys the freedom of short clothes and doesn’t like to feel too constricted or covered (but she does love sweaters). Her wardrobe has a fair amount of dresses but she’s taken a preference to shorts lately and usually pairs them with a simple top. She is drawn to pastel shades and likes jewel tones too.Body: A little on the short side, she is toned and fit. Her legs have most of her power but don’t underestimate her arms either. She is much stronger than she looks. She has a few scars from training, missions, and life as a mage.
PERSONALITY
Kind and caring: She has a big heart and is quick to come to the aid of someone in need. She likes to take care of others and won’t stand for bullies or cruelty.Optimistic: As someone who has had struggles her whole life, times of pain and darkness, she had to learn how to see the light and have hope in the future. She prefers keeping a positive outlook on life, especially knowing her cheerful view can uplift others around her.Social and friendly: She enjoys the company of others, disliking being alone, and with her curiosity and interest in others, she makes friends easily. Comfortable in most social situations, she’s good at communicating but is equally good at listening. She puts people at ease and is always happy to listen to someone’s stories or troubles, willing to give advice and help if needed.
Determined: A vein of stubbornness runs through her, born of being the younger sister of the great She-Demon, Mirajane, and through the fear of not being good enough. Time and time again, she has been used against her siblings or has had to be saved by someone else. She wants to be strong enough to help others instead and to be worthy of her family. When she gets set on something, she is difficult to sway.Fun: A little whimsical and full of curiosity, she is always up for an adventure and for trying new things. Games and playing around are necessary to her and she loves to tease and be cheeky in her lighthearted way.Brave and loyal: While not an especially reckless sort, she will go up against anything and everything that threatens her friends or family. She can push past her fear and do whatever it takes for the sake of others. She also believes wholeheartedly in her loved ones and will support them until the end.
MAGIC & ABILITIES
Take Over: Like Elfman and Mirajane, Lisanna uses ‘Take Over’ Magic. Her transformation is based on transforming her body into animal and hybrid-animal forms which is called Animal Soul. She can use her Take Over transformations in a variety of ways, and was seen augmenting her physical capabilities and parameters during combat through their use. Lisanna is able to chain five Take Overs instantly when she fights with Azuma. According to Mirajane, this is a high level Take Over technique.I have changed and added to Lisanna’s Take Over forms and magic.For Take Over magic to work, the mage must ‘truly know’ that which they are trying to take over. For Lisanna, this means she must understand the animal she wants to take over, she has to empathize with them and feel their instincts.And because she really has to get into the mind of an animal, sometimes when she’s in an Animal Soul form, she can be quite animalistic herself, reacting as one would. After being in a form for an extended period of time, she will likely retain some of that forms characteristics/behaviours for a while after she has returned to her own form (if she had been in Cat form for a while, she might still hiss at people etc) and some changes are aspects are permanent, such as her heightened instincts and senses.Partial Take over: This lets her change only part of herself into animal form, she could give herself just the ears or just the claws of an animal, whatever she needs for the moment. This is actually what Lisanna does most, her tiger form (for example) is partial take over, it gives the fur, claws, senses, and a couple of physical attributes of a tiger.Full body Take Over: This requires more magic from Lisanna and involves her entire body shape shifting into that of the animal, she would actually have a tiger’s body. In full take over form, there are indicators that it is Lisanna, her eye colour stays the same as her human form and generally the fur/skin of the animal is pale/white like her hair.Hand-to-hand: She is an incredibly competent fighter in close combat, as her magic relies on close range and it strengthens her physical abilities. In the early X760s, a man named Oskar moved from his homeland of Caelum to the kingdom of Fiore. After travelling the land for a while, he settled in a farming town named Bluebell and began to start his new life. He brought some land and built his own house and the town was welcoming of him (mostly). He soon came across the ‘belle of Bluebell’, a beautiful woman named Annika Strauss. She might have been as pretty as a flower but she was not easily crushed like one, she was strong willed, her strength coming from having to deal with the running of her family’s business at a young age. She and her family had moved from Stella when she was younger.Annika was desired by many for various reasons, but she rejected any advances. But to cut a long story short, she eventually fell for Oskar as he was sweet and awkward and not trying to pursue her. Around him, she felt accepted and known, safe and relaxed. They were married (Oskar taking her last name per her family tradition) after a year or two of first meeting, and they supported each other. It was a happy time that was made even happier when Annika had their first child, Mirajane. Two more children followed in as many years and the couple felt blessed.It was a lovely time for them all, the kids grew up in a happy household. Oskar was a hardworking farmer, but always made time for his kids and wife and he helped in whatever way he could. Annika mellowed out somewhat after having the kids, becoming the more gentle and motherly sort and having more time to spend with them after she finally hired some more help for the business she was running. The blissful family life of loving parents and fun times with her siblings and the pets they had is something Lisanna remembers clearly and misses greatly.It wasn’t all good, however, as there was an incident when Lisanna was about four years old. The family went for a camping trip, and while it was all fun and went well, when it came to packing up and leaving again, they all forgot one very important thing. Lisanna. She had been off playing as everyone cleaned up, and when she came back to the site, her family was gone. Scared and alone, all she could do was sit there and cry, feeling hopelessly abandoned.Her family had made it halfway home before they realised they had left her behind, and of course they rushed back for her. She was met with a thousand hugs and apologies and the promise she would never be forgotten again. It took her a long time to let anyone out of her sight after that (and being alone or forgotten is still something that unsettles her).The years together continued to be happy up until Oskar fell to a mysterious illness and passed when Lisanna was about 9yrs old. Annika took the loss hard but continued to try her best for her children in the year or so that followed. Unfortunately, it became difficult for her to manage everything and continue to support their lifestyle. She was often stressed and, although she didn’t know it, the land and life around suffered because of it. She wasn’t aware of having magic herself, but in her state of grief and worry, it was making the crops wither and the animals leave. The townspeople began to see the family as ‘cursed’ and she felt more alone than ever.She would go to the church and cemetery to feel closer to Oskar, and it was during one of those visits that she was attacked by a demonic creature. It had been drawn to the impression of death around and it wanted to torment her, with an aim to possess her.When their mother didn’t return home, Mira decided to go search for her and heard the townspeople’s worried whispers about the sounds coming from the church. A few of them had tried to go in but been chased out or killed. Mira was sure her mother was inside, so she headed in herself. And she found a demon that resembled her mother. It attacked and scared her, and she fled quickly.The demon staked it’s claim on the church, attacking anyone that got near. It would also venture out at night to cause destruction before returning to it. A couple of days passed and then Mira decided to go back and face it again. A fight ensued and all Mira could think of was wanting to get her mother back. She ‘took over’ the demon, forcing it from the body and destroying it. Her mother survived for just a few minutes before passing away from her injuries.Mira never told her siblings the extent of what happened, telling them simply that the demon had killed their mother and had done so quickly. The townspeople viewed Mira as a freak for the way her body had taken on the demonic attributes and she and her siblings were chased out, eventually heading to Magnolia and Fairy Tail.

In the year without Fairy Tail, she was not idle. To begin with, she travelled with her siblings and did odd jobs, working for a while as a waitress. But with memories of Tartaros and the perpetual worry of not being good enough, she knew she needed more. For once, she started to feel close to finding her place in the world.Fairy Tail’s return and the events of the war once again shook her and had the old feelings of displacement coming back. Lisanna went on a mission and was unfortunately captured and taken to a dark mage who was skilled in Possession Magic. He took control of her and forced her to work for him, keeping her in her various animal Takeover forms, particularly her tiger form. Sting took a request to investigate the beast terrorizing the area and soon came across her. With his holy magic, he was able to save her from the Possession.Because of his help, she felt a sense of debt to him and wanted to find a way to repay him. She began to spend more time around him and they developed a friendship, getting to know each other and become more and more comfortable, both finding comfort and light in the other. AN INTRODUCTION
She is much like a butterfly, appearing beautiful and delicate, flittering from interest to interest. As a child, a soft little caterpillar, she was often left to her own devices by her parents and so she consumed knowledge to both comfort herself and to hopefully find something that would help her. She taught herself magic but her fledgling skills couldn’t retain the interest of her father for long enough to get him realise he needed to stop his crazed research.Later, events would lead to her becoming one of the orphans living in the Magnolia orphanage. She would soon after join the Fairy Tail guild. To begin with, she cocooned herself, hiding behind books and struggling to open up to others. After a while, nurtured by friendships, she was able to emerge into a more confident version of herself, brilliance on display.When the war between Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord came, her wings of grace and faith in herself were crumpled and torn. She had been the leader of a team and one of the more capable mages of the guild, but she had been utterly defeated, forced to watch her beloved friends be beaten. It haunts her still, but she has mended herself and has taken flight one more.Cracks in her sense of worth and confidence will always be present, but she refuses to be in the position she once was. She has trained in the years since then to overcome her weaknesses and although she does not desire fights, she should not be underestimated.Recently, knowing it was a place she could have the most impact, she has returned to working for the Magic Council.

Hair: Waves of cobalt blue, typically loose against her shoulders and chest, but held back somewhat by a headband. Her hair is soft but she has to take care when brushing it, as it’s especially prone to tangles. The more wild nature of her hair was something she was embarrassed about as a child.Face: Features on the petite side, pretty and easily reflecting her emotions. She is generally smiling easily but is also capable of quite the glare or intense look of concentration.Eyes: Hazel, a shade that becomes lighter and tinged with yellow in the light. Her eyes are expressive and she possesses dark lashes to frame them. She wears glasses most of the time, typically a nice brown frame or dark green pair.
Clothes: Most often, she wears dresses as she likes the ease and comfort of them, but shorts are another staple for her. While not a vain person, she does take care with the clothes she picks and likes to have accessories to compliment them, particularly things for her hair.Body: She is short and her bust is unlike most of the other girls in the guild, but she is toned and has particular strength in her legs. Solid Script: True to her boundless interest in books, Levy’s Magic is also focused around writing and words: Solid Script, a form of Letter Magic, allows her to generate words in the air and make them solid, subsequently throwing them at the enemies with different effects. To create such words, Levy is shown performing gestures with one or both of her hands, depending on the spell. In the past two or so years, she has trained to be able to generate words by the use of her feet giving her more flexibility with her MagicPolyglot: Levy is noted for her knowledge in the field of languages, and can even translate several ancient scripts. Through accurate, grammatical examination, plus the use of her Gale-Force Reading Glasses, she was capable of nullifying one of the barriers created by Freed Justine by rewriting the runes composing it. Given this first experience, later on she was shown able to bypass another one of Freed’s enchantments, this time in a minute, and even managing to make it so that only she and Gajeel could bypass its restrictions.Hand-to-hand: Ever since she and her team were brutally attacked by Gajeel, she has been working to overcome her physical weakness. She has become proficient in close combat. She is nimble and quick, adept at using her opponents own weight against themselves.

She returned to work at the Council once he was back and she realised just how bad the situation was going to get. Her father, Hector, was a highly intelligent man, a researcher and keen scientist. Her mother, Myrna, was a talented guild mage, a bright and spirited woman. The two crossed paths by chance in their late teens and immediately hit it off, and they married a few years later. They celebrated the birth of their daughter a year into their marriage, however, things went downhill after that. Myrna started to get sick sometime after Levy’s first birthday, a mysterious magical aliment afflicting her. Hector ran himself ragged trying to figure out what was causing her illness and how to treat it, but to no avail.When Myrna passed, her best friend and guildmate, Aubrey, took to visiting Hector and Levy frequently, often staying with them for short periods of time to help out. She would go on high paying jobs in order to be able to provide money for them, bringing back the odd toy or book to entertain Levy. Over the years, Aubrey became increasingly concerned with Hector’s single-minded focus on his research and the way Levy was often left unsupervised. She came to understand that Hector lived in fear that Levy would become struck by the same illness as her mother had been, and that he was determined to figure out its nature and a cure in case that possibility eventuated.Aubrey stayed with them for a few extended times during Levy’s toddler years, yet had to leave to take on jobs whenever their funds would get low. Levy, of course, was very attached to her and believed her to be her mother, so she would always be upset at her departures and excited at her returns. During the times where Aubrey was away, Levy had nothing but the company of books and her imagination to occupy herself. She never wanted to disturb her father, he always seemed so busy, and there were times when if she distracted him in some way, he would snap at her. She knew he loved her, however, she felt it in the times where he would finally pull himself out of his work and talk to her while they shared a meagre meal.He was full of promises to her, insisting that once he finished his research, everything would be better, it would all change for the better, she just had to wait and let him work. Among the assurances he made, there were also promises that he would be a more present father to her, that he would spend some time with her or even take her to the park to play. The promises soured into excuses whenever she would bring them up to him later, however. So she stopped holding out hope.Unbeknownst to Levy and Aubrey, as time went on and he had not uncovered the mystery behind his late wife’s sickness, Hector turned to darker topics of research – ways of bringing a person back from the dead or granting immortality. All for Levy’s sake, he would tell himself. He believed if he could bring back Myrna, or prevent Levy from ever dying, everything would be right with the world, and they would be happy together.By the time she was around 8 years old, Levy had already learnt to cook simple meals for herself and her father, and to keep the house clean and tidy as best she could. Yet, there was only so much a child could do towards the maintenance and running of a house, especially when money was sparse, so the place was slowly falling to disrepair. As ever, during his increasingly rare reconnections with the world around him, her father would promise he would fix everything.For the most part, she kept away from him in order to avoid disrupting him, unwilling to set off one of his terrible moods, she used reading books as a means of escape and distraction for herself.A parcel from Aubrey arrived one day, containing a book about magic and a letter. Having heard plenty of stories from Aubrey about mages and magic, and hoping if she learnt some herself, her father would pay attention to her, Levy took to studying the book. Soon enough, she was able to a few simple Solid Script spells.With fragile confidence in her newfound abilities, she dared to interrupt her father’s work to show him. Surprised, but thrilled, he dropped what he was doing, in awe of what she had been able to accomplish. He praised her work and even helped her work on further spells. They had a wonderful evening together, and she hoped there would be more like it to come. But that was not the case, as the next day, he reverted back to desperately continuing his research.Although disheartened, she continued to practise her magic and expand her skills, as aside from reading, it was the only thing she really had. And visits from Aubrey were all she had to look forward to, until one particular visit changed everything.A winters evening, Aubrey came calling. With very little lighting and no source of heat, Levy was huddled beneath a thin blanket, shivering, all the while her father continued to work, oblivious to even his own chattering teeth. An argument between the two adults ensued, with Aubrey voicing her horror and disgust at the state of Levy and the house itself. She announced that she would be taking Levy away with her that very night. He yelled that she couldn’t do such a thing, as Levy was his daughter, not hers. Aubrey paid no heed and gathered what little belongings Levy had. By the time the two left, Hector had convinced himself that it was for the best, and that he would now have more time to perfect his research, and that he would bring Levy back home once he was sure he was finished.That night had brought a range of mixed emotions for Levy. On one hand, she was excited at the prospect of having Aubrey around more, even if she now knew she was not her mother. Having a warmer, drier, place to live was something exciting too. On the other hand, she worried for her father.Aubrey took Levy to her hometown and settled her into the small apartment. She promised to look out for her and give her whatever she needed. As always, money was an issue, and it soon came time for Aubrey to take another job request. Knowing Levy was responsible and smart, Aubrey told herself it was okay to leave her at the apartment, it was safer there than on the mission with her. She knew too, that the friendly lady next door would keep an eye on her and check in. So began the new routine for Levy - waiting for Aubrey to return, and it was mixed with that of her old routine; reading, practicing her magic, and tidying. The neighbour was good company too, helping Levy feel a little less alone. Upon rare occasions, Aubrey even took Levy out on an easy job with her. It was not a perfect life, but things were starting to look up.A year later, when the council began to get wind of cult activity beginning to stir, and of whispers about research into reviving the dead and achieving immortality, some of their leads brought them to Hector. They took him and his research into custody, and he was never seen or heard from again. To public records, he perished in an accidental fire at his own home. Levy did not hear the news at that time.Sometime around Levy’s 10th birthday, Aubrey was returning from a mission and never made it home. Cultist activity was rampant, and her disappearance became attributed to it, as experienced by many during the time. In the event of her death, Aubrey had arranged for a magical safe box to open for Levy (the young girl had always wondered what was inside). It was filled with a decent amount of money and a few letters and trinkets.After realising that Levy was now alone, her neighbour called the council services, and they arranged to move her to the nearest orphanage, which happened to be in Magnolia.Unused to being around other kids, Levy was incredibly shy and kept to herself, even throughout the schooling provided by the orphanage. She soon learned of the town’s most popular mage guild, Fairy Tail, and developed an interest in it that would then lead to her joining.

At the revival of Fairy Tail, she didn’t intend to rejoin but she helped where she could, arranging the paperwork and other details most would forget. It was her intention to stick around until things were sorted, until Master Makarov was back and safe once more. She followed through on that but was then swept up in the oncoming war.After, she returned to work at the Council, this time as the Head of Magical Law Enforcement. It was hard to leave her friends at the guild again, but it was harder to ignore how much good she could do for them and the rest of the world by taking on a new role. As they got older, they began to drift from each other, but have always maintained a strong fondness for each other over the years.
